"My student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)"
You DO NOT need to disclose that your student has a disability or what that disability is when completing 'Intent to Enroll'. We do not discriminate enrollment based on special needs, disability, or required services.
If it is decided that your student will attend here, you will fill out the registration form. When filling that out, it is imperative to notate that your student has an IEP and with what disability identification (Specific Learning Disability, Autism, Other Health Impairment, Physical, etc.).

What's next?
Once those documents are received, the Inclusion Department will review them and reach out if further information is needed or questions arise. You will then receive communication about setting up a time for an intake meeting; to get to know each other, review the IEP and determine comparable services. If registration is completed before June 1st, the meeting will take place in the Spring semester (late April/early May). If registration is completed after June 1st, you will receive communication about scheduling a intake meeting once school begins in the Fall.
- Current IEP (updated within the current or previous school year) - An out of date IEP is not a valid IEP.
- Triennial evaluation and IEP (or initial evaluation if qualified within the last three years)
Additional preferred (and helpful!) paperwork, but not required to complete registration:
- Initial IEP
- Previous Special Education evaluations
- Any private evaluations completed (educational, psychological, etc.)
- Current medical information

- Current 504 Plan - updated within the current or previous school year. If a student's plan has lapsed because their previous school did not update it, then we need the last updated plan.

- 504 evaluation and eligibility documents (completed in the last three years is preferred, but not required)

If no other information is needed, you will receive communication at the beginning of the school year a about parent info night and an invitation to schedule a brief ‘get to know each other’ meeting.
Important to know:
- There are a few different places that special learning plan documents can be submitted.
- To our registrar - email Maureen Truax at [email protected]. Feel free to send her this paperwork when you submit other required school paperwork. and/or
- To our department - email any and all paperwork to [email protected] and/or
- To the front office - Feel free to come by and drop off hard copies of documents. We can also copy them for you if needed.
- Registration is not complete until all required special learning plan documents have been received.
- Locating and receiving special learning plan documents can sometimes be difficult and frustrating. If you have a difficult time getting these documents, please inform someone in our department (contact info under 'The Team') and we can help you track those down.
